Worthware Systems International provides update on CellSell® Accounting Systems PATENT PENDING simplified activation data processing technology, which eliminates double keying of cellular subscriber data at the point-of-sale and renders cumbersome downloads and imports of carrier generated activation data files obsolete.

June 2004 - Montreal, Quebec Canada. Worthware Systems International Inc (WSI) is pleased to announce that its simplified activation data processing technology, which eliminates double keying of cellular subscriber data at the point-of-sale and renders cumbersome downloads and imports of carrier generated activation data files obsolete is now PATENT PENDING in over 100 countries around the world.

Introduced in February 2003 the new direct carrier activation interface has proven itself to be flawlessly reliable and is currently in use and supporting cellular retailers activating online in Canada and the United States representing some of North America's largest carriers including: Cingular Wireless, Nextel, Rogers Wireless, Telus Mobility and Verizon Wireless.

The new technology was developed specifically to improve upon and ultimately replace the company's older first-generation integration model introduced in 1998 which eliminated double entry of subscriber data at the point-of-sale. In 1998 system architecture was such that a CellSell® Accounting System user was required to first download and then import a data file prepared by the carrier online activation system. Over the years this model was extended to include a URL link as an option to enable a user to download the subscriber activation data file. While certainly a better alternative to double keying, this entire approach and solution to the industry wide age old online carrier activation system integration problem fell short as it was always very cumbersome for the user. The reliable operation and ongoing maintenance of this first-generation technology was dependant on cooperation from the carrier regarding relevant file format changes in advance of deployment and despite its shortcomings, in the abcense of any other viable technical alternative remained in service up untill February of 2003. The second-generation technology is web browser based and while cooperation from the carrier is still limited to communication regarding relevant file format changes in advance of deployment, reliable implementation and ongoing maintenance are no longer solely dependant upon this communication taking place. Although the company has not yet discontinued support for its old first-generation technology which was innovative by 1998 standards , the release of the company's latest innovation has effectively rendered that first-generation technology and integration model obsolete.

To complete the point-of-sale transaction, the new web based PATENT PENDING technology leverages the carrier's own web based internal online activation systems to collect and process already 100% reliable subscriber activation data structured for delivery over the internet. Adoption and successful implementation of the technology is not dependant upon a carrier being solicited or approached by the company to redesign the customer activation processes in anyway or to invest IT budget dollars into costly modifications of internal systems. No financial investment is required, no modifications are required, and no additional technical resources are required to support reliable use of this breakthrough technology.

Once the software is fully implemented CellSell® Accounting System users are no longer forced to navigate through URL links to select a file to download and answer system prompts requesting a file save type and or location or to retrieve a file downloaded to a pre-configured location on their local PC. This cumbersome process has been completely eliminated, replaced instead by a simple mouse click of an on screen button launching a process which now creates the customer account record and invoice complete with the cellular phone inventory, cellular carrier plan commissions, cellular carrier features and sales person commissions attached in as little as five (5) seconds. Further streamlining the process CellSell® Accounting Systems eliminate the need for users to operate two systems in two separate application Windows Taskbar sessions.
